What Makes Us Different From the Mainstream Church?

Our Community is an independent spiritual group. Some of our programs are hosted in facilities that are graciously provided by First Presbyterian Church in Belton. We enthusiastically work with them, but we are not tied to the Presbyterian Church.
Jessica and I are both followers of Christ who have found ourselves adrift in the mainstream church. We were not being spiritually fed by the dogma, creeds, and liturgy. Our gatherings are interfaith. We welcome people of all faith backgrounds or no faith background.

Our spiritualism is guided by ancient Celtic practices. We use both the Big Book (all of creation) and the Little Book (the Bible) on our spiritual journey. We also consult sacred writings of other faith backgrounds. All of our gatherings are contemplative. We don't tell you what to believe, we just hope that you will be spiritually fed and find a personal relationship with God.

Our personal beliefs adhere to the ideas of the Pre-Augustinian Christian Church. As such, we do not accept the doctrine of original sin, but rather we look for God's light in all creation per our belief that man was created good. We do not practice corporate confession, nor do we accept the doctrines of substitutionary atonement or creation ex nihilo. Your personal beliefs are yours. We do ask that you review our core values listed on the About page. We feel that these values should guide our community.
There is no membership. We do not pass a collection plate. We do not recite creeds. We have no prescribed liturgy. We are not ordained clergy. We are fellow pilgrims on a spiritual journey. We hope that you will join us and be spiritually fed.

Be each day glad for thee,
No day ill for thee,
A life joyful, satisfied.
